Call for Applications: Host the Seventh International Conference on Learning Cities (ICLC 7)

Learning Cities in the Age of AI: Towards Inclusive Digital Urban Futures

Under the working theme 'Learning Cities in the Age of AI: Towards Inclusive Digital Urban Futures', ICLC 7 will bring together city leaders, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping urban lifeand how learning cities can harness digital innovation to build inclusive, sustainable and resilient futures.

The conference will provide a platform to:

  • Showcase effective practices in building sustainable learning cities

  • Review progress across GNLC activities

  • Advance an integrated learning city approach to support lifelong learning and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level

A key moment in the GNLC Cycle 2027/2028

The International Conference is a key component of the upcoming GNLC thematic cycle, focusing on the transformative potential of AI in urban development. Through this lens, member cities will gain tools and knowledge to:

  • Leverage digital innovation

  • Strengthen lifelong learning strategies

  • Build smarter, more inclusive and connected urban communities
