Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) released the following statement regarding the launch of the $50 billion Rural Health Transformation (RHT) program. The fund was created by the Working Families Tax Cuts legislation that Congressman Walberg voted in favor of in July.
"The Rural Health Transformation Fund is the single largest investment in rural healthcare in U.S. history," said Rep. Walberg. "I am proud to have supported this $50 billion grant as part of the Working Families Tax Cuts legislation to provide Michigan with the tools and resources necessary to support our rural healthcare system. By investing in rural communities, we can make our healthcare system work more efficiently and ensure the long-term sustainability of our rural providers for years to come."
