TSC to Open Submissions for Undergraduate Research Journal

April 15, 2025

The Tallahassee State College (TSC) Undergraduate Research Program is proud to announce submission openings for the inaugural issue of the Tallahassee State College Undergraduate Research Journal. This peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal will showcase research carried out by TSC students across a variety of fields and is set to become an academic resource for the college community and beyond.

This marks the latest milestone in the phenomenal growth of the Undergraduate Research Program, which recently introduced the Undergraduate Research Fellowship opportunity and led an interdisciplinary group of students to the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference. The Undergraduate Research Symposium, now in its sixth year, also saw a record 143 submissions this year. With the addition of the TSC Undergraduate Research Journal, TSC will become one of the few community colleges in the nation to launch a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to student research.

TSC's Undergraduate Research Journal is led by a dedicated committee from the Undergraduate Research Program, chaired by Niki Costantino, Professor of English and long-time advisor to The Eyrie, TSC's award-winning literary magazine. Under Professor Costantino's leadership, TSC Undergraduate Research Journal is poised to become an integral part of the college's academic enrichment programming.

The journal will be hosted on the Florida Online Journals platform, home to several peer-reviewed journals based at higher education institutions in Florida. As the academic year draws to a close, the TSC Undergraduate Research Journal leadership team encourages all students who have conducted research during the 2024-2025 academic year to submit their findings for publication in the journal's inaugural issue, which will be released in the fall of 2025. The submission deadline is August 24, 2025. Students can apply by visiting here.
