Final Report: Train Derailment near Des Moines, IA (Chicago Division)

On Thursday, October 1, 2026, at approximately 1535 CDT we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Des Moines, IA which affected the main track. BNSF field personnel responded and assessed the derailment site. The main track has been returned to service on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 12:16 AM CDT.
