Athletics Zack Ziegler, Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Engagement, and the Wheeling University Athletic Department collected school supplies during the Cardinal Classroom Supplies Drive. Members of the football and women's soccer teams helped deliver the supplies to St. Michael Parish School and Ohio County Schools. Campus Ministry Father David Griffin has created the Campus Ministry Council. The Council consists of student representatives from 19 athletic teams. The focus of the Council is service and worship for the entire student body. The Council meets monthly to outline both individual and team programming as well as mutual campus events with Student Affairs and the Student Government Association. More than 100 students, coaches, and staff assisted volunteers from St. Michael Parish, the Knight of Columbus, WVU Wheeling Hospital, and Wheeling Central High School on September 13 to pack 60,000 meals for Cross Catholic Outreach. The meals were sent to families in West Virginia and across the world to help combat hunger.
