Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Jiang Feng Visits the Pan-African Parliament

On October 15, H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, led a delegation to South Africa and paid a visit to Pan-African Parliament (PAP). During the visit, Amb. Jiang held discussions with Hon. Chief Fortune Charumbira, President of PAP, on deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Amb. Jiang elaborated on the significance of the Global Governance Initiative, noting that China attaches great importance to the crucial role played by Pan-African Parliament in promoting African unity, self-reliance, and regional integration. He expressed China's readiness to maintain close and friendly exchanges with the PAP, enhance the sharing of governance experience, and deepen cooperation on capacity building. Amb. Jiang also commended PAP and the African Union for their firm adherence to the One-China Principle, and shared highlights from the   Global Leaders' Meeting on Women recently held in Beijing

President Charumbira warmly welcomed Amb. Jiang, describing China as a trusted brother and strategic partner of Africa. He emphasized that Africa-China relations are built on a solid foundation and strong momentum, and expressed willingness to further strengthen cooperation with China across various fields. President Charumbira reaffirmed PAP and AU's firm commitment to the One-China Principle and highly praised China's successful hosting of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women.
