Tacos and Tunes moves to Desert Sun Stadium October 3

Get ready, Yuma! Tacos and Tunes is back Saturday, October 3, and this year the popular community event is returning to Desert Sun Stadium (1280 W. Desert Sun Drive), bringing the celebration back to where it all started!

Before moving to Downtown Yuma in 2022, Tacos and Tunes was held at Desert Sun Stadium. Now, the event is coming back home bigger and better, with more room for guests to enjoy taco and other food vendors, live music, a car show, a dedicated kids zone, and more!

The free event will take place from 3 to 11 p.m. and, of course, feature plenty of tacos! Taco vendors will serve up everything from traditional favorites to creative specialties, and a taco judging contest will put some of the event's tastiest creations to the test. A panel of judges will sample the entries and select this year's winning tacos.

"Tacos and Tunes is such a fun event that brings our community together," said Special Events Coordinator Kathy Urfer. "It has been exciting to watch the event grow over the years, and we can't wait to bring it back to Desert Sun Stadium bigger and better than ever!"

The event has continued to draw larger crowds thanks to the support of residents, visitors, vendors, and community partners. Approximately 13,000 people attended Tacos and Tunes in Downtown Yuma in 2024. In 2025, the event expanded to two days for the first time, welcoming more than 18,000 attendees over the weekend.

With that continued success, Desert Sun Stadium provides the additional space needed to accommodate guests, vendors and activities, while creating more opportunities for Tacos and Tunes in the years ahead.

Although Tacos and Tunes is returning to Desert Sun Stadium, Downtown Yuma remains an important part of the event's recent history and success, and will continue to be home to other City signature events, including Downtown Christmas, AGFest, and BBQ and Brew.
