OKLAHOMA CITY (August 3, 2026) - Governor Kevin Stitt welcomed governors from across the nation to Oklahoma City for the 2026 National Governors Association (NGA) Summer Meeting, highlighting Oklahoma's leadership, hospitality, and commitment to advancing the American Dream.
"It has been an honor to serve as chairman of the National Governors Association," said Governor Stitt. "This year has proven that governors coming together is more important than ever."
During the meeting, governors participated in a historic "Common Ground" town hall with Governors, hosted in partnership with NBC News. The event brought together leaders for a national conversation on the issues that matter most to Americans.
"Disagreement isn't actually the problem," Stitt said. "The question is whether we're willing to keep talking. If the founders taught us anything, it's that disagreement handled correctly can make us stronger."
