Topeka, Kan. - Washburn University School of Law will host the 2026 "Selected Topics and Miscellany Continuing Legal Education (CLE)" Presentation on June 25 and 26 at Robert J. Dole Hall, located at the corner of 21st Street and Washburn Avenue, at Washburn University. The legal sessions will offer 12 total hours of CLE credit, including two hours of ethics programming, for practicing attorneys to fulfill annual education requirements. Full session details and registration are available at washburnlaw.edu/cle.
The two-day line-up of programs focuses on selected legal topics and updates in multiple areas of law, presented by Washburn Law faculty members, adjunct professors and other legal professionals. Topics include the basics of landlord-tenant law; recent developments in Kansas tax, agricultural and business law; and multiple sessions on the implications of artificial intelligence for legal professionals.
"This is a great chance to get your year-end compliance hours with interesting speakers and a variety of topics in one short setting whether it be the whole program or just seven hours Thursday or five hours Friday," said Shawn Leisinger, associate dean for Centers and External Programs, Washburn School of Law.
All sessions will be available in-person and online via Zoom. Registration is $299 for Thursday and Friday, or $199 or single day attendance; annual ethics requirements are offered Friday only.
CLE sessions will consist of seven hours Thursday and five hours on Friday (two of which will be Ethics) and have been certified for those noted credits by the Kansas Continuing Legal Education Commission (KCLE). Credits have also been approved by Missouri for the same live Missouri Continuing Legal Education Commission credit. Online attendance at this program falls under the KSCLE "Live programming" definition; 12 CLE credits may be earned through online attendance each compliance period.
