Norton Rose Fulbright Warsaw advises PLAY on PLN 450 million export financing for Ericsson equipment

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright advised P4 sp. z o.o. (branded as PLAY) on a PLN 450 million export financing arranged by Citibank N.A., London branch, in connection with the supply of telecommunications equipment by Ericsson. The financing is supported by an export credit guarantee provided by the Swedish Export Credit Agency (EKN).

The Warsaw team was led by senior associate Igor Kondratowicz-Laderski and included lawyer Antoni Krzyżanowski from the banking and finance team. Partner Tomasz Rogalski supervised the transaction.

PLAY is the largest mobile telecommunications operator in Poland, with around 15.5 million mobile and home services provided to customers and holding approximately 28.7 percent market share. PLAY is part of the Iliad Group, one of the five largest telecommunication group in Europe.

Commenting on the transaction, Igor Kondratowicz-Laderski said:

"We are proud to have supported PLAY, our long-standing client, on this deal. This financing meaningfully supports PLAY's continued investment in next-generation telecommunications infrastructure and required close coordination between multiple parties across several jurisdictions, as well as careful alignment of the terms of the financing with the requirements of EKN."
