Board of County Commissioner's Week of January 13 - 17, 2025

MONDAY, January 13
There are no public meetings scheduled for this day.

TUESDAY, January 14
9:00 a.m. - Oath of Office Ceremony for La Plata County Newly Elected Officials
Judge Wilson will administer the oath of office for Matt Salka, Commissioner;
Marsha Porter-Norton, Commissioner; and Sean Murray, District Attorney.
A reception will follow.

10:00 a.m. Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

  1. Approval of appointment to the Lake Durango Water Authority.
  2. Approval of appointments to the Pine River Library District Board.
  3. Approval of an intergovernmental agreement between La Plata County and the Town of Bayfield for Senior Services.
  4. Approval of the 2025 Animal Control Management Services Agreement and the 2025 Animal Shelter Management Services Agreement.
  5. Approval of a memorandum of agreement for La Plata County Risk Mapping Assessment and Planning (MAP) Project - Phase 2 Data Development.
  6. Approval of revisions to the Network Use Policy.
  7. Approval of Resolution 2024-02 adopting a board meeting schedule and designating a public place for board meeting notices.
  8. Approval of Resolution 2025-03 establishing public business hours for county offices.
  9. Approval of Resolution 2024-04 designating the banks at which county deposits are held.
  10. Consideration of a first reading of Ordinance O-2025-01, repealing and re-enacting Article I of Chapter 38 of the La Plata County Code pertaining to use of County property.
  11. Consideration of Resolution No. 2024-05 setting Commissioners' Liaison & Board assignments and electing Chair/Vice-Chair.

3:00 p.m. - Commissioner Clyde Church to host office hours
County residents are invited to stop by for an informal chat with Commissioner Clyde Church at the County Administration Building, located at 1101 E. Second Ave, from 3 to 5pm, or call Commissioner Church at 970-382-6216 during these hours.

FRIDAY, January 17
11:30 a.m. - CCAT Natural Resources & Wildfire, Fiscal Reform Committee Meetings
Members of the board will attend the virtual CCAT meetings on Natural Resources & Wildfire and Fiscal Reform.
