Introducing Cerity Partners Ventures College

We are excited to announce the launch of Cerity Partners Ventures College, a new externship program beginning in 2027 at Cerity Partners Ventures (CPV) for undergraduate students who are interested in exploring a career in venture capital. Cerity Partners Ventures College will have two components:

1. Education

Students will take part in weekly virtual Zoom classes led by the Cerity Partners Ventures senior investment professionals. The sessions will draw on our team's previous experience teaching venture capital classes at leading universities such as the University of Michigan, UCLA, and USC.

The classes will cover the fundamentals and best practices of venture capital, including how to evaluate venture capital investment opportunities. Students can expect to learn about VC fund strategy, deal sourcing, due diligence, term sheets, and portfolio management, among other topics.

Zoom classes will be held once per week for the duration of the program and each will last approximately one hour.

2. Experience

Students will also have the ability to gain direct venture capital experience by conducting industry research and sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities. Each student will be paired with an investment professional at CPV, who will provide mentorship during the program.

At the end of the program, each student will present a summary of their experience and learnings to the entire team at CPV.

For this portion of the externship, students will be expected to commit approximately five hours per week.

Applying for Cerity Partners Ventures College

The program will start in January 2027 and last approximately 12 weeks. Up to 10 students will be accepted into the first cohort.

The part-time, unpaid externship is designed for students to participate while still meeting their obligations as a current college or university student.

Students who wish to be considered for the Cerity Partners Ventures College externship program can complete and submit an application.

The application deadline is November 30, 2026.

We are using a rolling admissions process and we will make final admission decisions by December 15, 2026.
