Defence Secretary Chairs Public Day Programme at Ministry of Defence

Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), chaired a Public Day programme held at the Ministry of Defence today (12 June).

The programme provided an opportunity for members of the veteran community to present their concerns, grievances and requests directly to the Defence Secretary and relevant officials. Matters raised by the participants were reviewed, and necessary instructions were issued to the respective divisions for prompt attention and follow-up action.

The Public Day programme is part of the Ministry of Defence's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for war veterans and to honour the sacrifices made by service personnel and their families in safeguarding the nation.
