Town of Smithtown – Amendment to Smithtown Town Code Chapter 322 regarding Mixed Use Buildings

Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Smithtown Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendment to Smithtown Town Code Chapter 322 regarding Mixed Use Buildings will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment. The action involves the Town Board's own motion to adopt an amendment to Chapter 322 of Smithtown Town Code so as to reduce the number of parcels in which "Mixed Use Buildings" would be allowed pursuant to Town Board Special Exception approval. Pursuant to the amendment, "Mixed Use Buildings" would no longer be allowed on interior parcels of the industrial park and would continue to be permitted only on sufficiently large parcels in the Hauppauge Industrial Park Overlay District with frontage along the Motor Parkway. The project is located in Hauppauge Industrial Park Overlay District in the Town of Smithtown, New York.
