Worcester Municipal Buildings to Remain Closed Tuesday, Feb. 24 During Normal Business Hours, Open for Council Meeting

WORCESTER, Mass. - Due to the inclement weather, all municipal buildings, including Worcester Public Schools, all Worcester Public Library branches, Worcester City Hall, the Worcester Senior Center, and the Residential Drop-Off Center, will remain closed Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, however, City Hall will open at 5 p.m. for the City Council meeting.

As a result of the closures, the municipality is announcing the following updates for public meetings:

  • The Advisory Commission on Youth will meet virtually at 3 p.m.
  • The Standing Committee on Public Works' meeting at 5 p.m. is cancelled
  • The Community Preservation Committee meeting has been rescheduled to in-person Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A, Parks Department, 50 Officer Manny Familia Way.

Trash and recycling collection is canceled Tuesday, Feb. 24. The Winter Weather Emergency and Declared Parking Ban remain in effect until further notice.
