Roadwork Update: Traffic Delays Expected on Eastland Drive for Asphalt Binder Operations

BLOOMINGTON, IL - Asphalt binder operations are scheduled to start Wednesday, September 16, 2026, along Eastland Drive, from Fairway Drive to Veterans Parkway. This construction operation should be completed by Friday, September 18, 2026. Roadwork project schedules may change depending on weather and other factors.

The intersections along these routes will be temporarily closed periodically during the asphalt binder operations to allow for proper installation. Motorists traveling through the intersections may experience delays, may be impacted by the periodic intersection closures, and should seek other routes. The contractor will be staging operations to help maintain access.

While the street will be open to traffic, motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes until the project is complete. The street will be fully reopened as soon as the entire project is complete.
