Sunday Night Lane Closures on SR 154/Memorial Dr This Weekend as Resurfacing Continues
ATLANTA - Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will continue activities related to a resurfacing project on State Route 154/Memorial Drive (SR 154) from the Fulton County Line/Moreland Avenue to SR 10 in DeKalb County. Resurfacing improves the condition of the deteriorating roadway and provides a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, on Sunday, June 15 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday morning, crews will install alternating left and right "rolling" single lane closures on Memorial Drive throughout the project area as they lower manholes and water valves and begin paving the road. Some noise may be associated with these activities.
This $5 million resurfacing project is scheduled for completion in late summer 2025.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
