WASHINGTON, D.C. (Feb. 6, 2026) -U.S. Representative Nancy Mace (SC-01) announced she is joining the House Oversight Committee's Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE), chaired by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN).
"Washington has been picking the pockets of hardworking families for decades. Every dollar wasted on bloated bureaucracy and fraud is a dollar that could stay in the hands of South Carolina families struggling with grocery bills, gas prices, and housing costs," said Rep. Mace. "I'm joining the DOGE Subcommittee because the affordability crisis crushing American families starts with a spending crisis in Washington."
Chairman Burchett provided the following statement on Rep. Mace joining the DOGE Subcommittee, highlighting the value of her leadership:
"Too many times there's not a single Republican female on a committee, and we need some women to help kick some ass," said Chairman Burchett.
Rep. Mace is ready to get to work identifying wasteful spending, eliminating fraud, and holding federal agencies accountable to American taxpayers.
