TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - Extension of Vance Neck Road Closure
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will be extending the Vance Neck Road closure between Chase Lane and Apple Tree Lane until October 18 at 6:00 p.m.
This is due to weather delays.
Operations will be around the clock until completion for reconstruction and paving.
Motorists are to use Silver Run Road (Route 9) as a detour. If this route is impassable, DelDOT staff will be on site to close Route 9 and direct motorists through the work zone on Vance Neck Road. Work on Vance Neck Road will resume when Route 9 becomes available again.
