Harrisburg men’s, women’s soccer teams win United East titles

The Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer team won the 2025 United East Men's Soccer Championship.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's soccer teams each won their respective 2025 United East Championship titles on Nov. 8.

The men's soccer team won the 2025 United East Championship game 3-0 over Penn College. Byron Hines was named the United East Tournament most valuable player.

The conference championship is the fourth in program history, with previous titles in 2022, 2021 and 2019.

With the win over Penn College, the team will head to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. The men will travel to the campus of Brandeis University in Massachusetts to play Tufts University in the team's first-round game at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15. The winners of Saturday's games will move on to a second round on Sunday.

The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team won the 2025 United East Women's Soccer Championship.

The women's soccer team won its second consecutive United East Championship in a double-overtime draw that ended with a 2-0 penalty kick victory over St. Mary's College.

Ava Myers was named the United East Tournament most valuable player.

The conference championship is the fourth in program history. Penn State Harrisburg also captured conference titles in 2024, 2021 and 2009.

With the victory, the team will head to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship Tournament.

The women's team will travel to Virginia to play Christopher Newport University in the team's first round game at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15. The winners of Saturday's games will play in a second round on Sunday.
