All Aboard! Popular Model Train Show Returns to Cary This Weekend

Cary, NC - The Town of Cary invites the community to experience the wonder of model railroading at the All Aboard! Model Train Show, taking place March 21-22 at Herbert C. Young Community Center. Now in its third year in Cary, the event continues to grow in popularity, with over 1,000 attendees expected for the two-day show.

The Model Train Show runs Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 22, from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. This event will showcase a variety of detailed model train layouts in O, G, S, N, and Z scales, along with a unique LEGO-scale display. Train enthusiasts of all ages can explore intricate miniature landscapes, watch trains travel through carefully crafted scenes, and learn more about the creativity and craftsmanship behind model railroading.

The event is presented in partnership with several regional model railroad organizations, including the North Raleigh Model Railroad Club, Neuse River Valley Model Railroad Club, East Carolina Railroaders, Atlantic Coast S Gaugers - Carolinas Division, and the North Carolina Garden Railroad Society.

Families and children can also enjoy interactive displays designed especially for younger visitors, providing hands-on opportunities to engage with trains and explore the hobby in a fun and welcoming environment. The event offers everyone a chance to experience both the artistic and technical sides of model trains while celebrating a classic pastime that continues to inspire generations.
