Love Verona's Hometown feel? Want better parks, an easier commute, or a more vibrant downtown? The Envision Verona Comprehensive Plan is entering its final phase, and now is your chance to shape the future of Verona.
The City of Verona will host the final round of public open houses on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, inviting the community to review the draft recommendations and help guide the growth and development vision for Verona.
"I want to thank Verona residents for the thoughtful feedback," said Verona Mayor Luke Diaz.
Two drop-in open houses will be held September 30, and community members are encouraged to attend whichever is most convenient:
These interactive open house events will feature stations sharing community insights and draft recommendations related to Downtown Verona, city-wide land use, transportation, and more. City staff and representatives from the planning firm MKSK will be available to discuss the Envision Verona recommendations and answer questions. Families are welcome, activities will be available for kids.
"Community voices are at the heart of this comprehensive plan update," said Jamie Aulik, City Administrator. "These open houses are one of the final opportunities for residents to weigh in, and the feedback we gather will directly shape Verona's future. Whether you care about parks, transportation, or downtown, your input matters."
This summer, the first phase of Envision Verona concluded with the release of the State of the Community Report, which outlines existing conditions, key data, and community input collected to date. The report is available at: https://tinyurl.com/EnisionVeronaDocument.
