Notice: Court Operations During Federal Government Shutdown

Court Remains Open

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware will remain fully operational during the current federal government shutdown. The court will continue fulfilling its constitutional obligation to hear and decide cases without interruption.

Relief for United States Claims

On October 2, 2025, the court entered a General Order Extending United States' Proof of Claim Bar Dates, Extending Adversary and Other Deadlines, and Providing Related Relief.This order stays all matters related to the United States' claims and interests until the next business day after federal funding is restored.

Public Impact

  • All scheduled hearings, trials, and proceedings will proceed as planned unless you receive notice otherwise
  • Electronic filing through PACER/CM/ECF remains fully available
